01. Getting Started

How does the Membrance process work?

  1. Choose a design on our website.

  2. Select your print quantity and complete your purchase.

  3. Receive a PDF with a link to your Canva template.

  4. Edit the design using Canva.

  5. Export as a print-ready PDF.

  6. Send the file back to us for printing.

Do I need a Canva Pro account?

No. All Membrance templates work with a free Canva account.

What devices can I use to edit the design?

Canva works on:

  • Desktop and laptop computers (recommended)

  • Tablets

  • Smartphones (limited editing)

For best results, use a computer.

02. Editing Your Design

Can I change colours, fonts, or layouts?

Our templates are designed for customers to add text and images into certain parts of the template.

Can I add or remove pages from an order of service?

It’s best to stick with the amount of pages in the template.
Printed orders of service must supplied in multiples of 4 due to the binding process.
Our templates are available as 4 pages, 8 pages and 12 pages.
Adding extra pages cold make your PDF unprintable.
If you want to change the template you’e purchased e.g. from an 8page template to a 12 page template just email our support team and we can make the change for you.

How do I upload photos?

In Canva, click UploadsUpload files.
Then drag the photo into the frame where you want it placed.

What size and quality should my photos be?

Use the highest-quality versions you have.
We recommend at least 1MB for a clear print.

Can you edit the design for me?

Yes — if you're struggling, contact us and we’ll guide you or make small adjustments where needed.

03. Exporting Your Design

How do I export the file correctly for printing?

In Canva:

  1. Click ShareDownload

  2. Choose PDF (Print)

  3. Tick Crop marks and bleed

  4. Click Download

This ensures the file prints at the correct size.

Why do I need crop marks and bleed?

They ensure the artwork extends slightly beyond the edge of the page so printing is clean and accurate.

My exported PDF looks blurry — is something wrong?

The preview may look lower quality, but the file will print sharply if exported using the PDF (Print) setting.

04. Sending Your Files

How do I send you my finished design?

Simply reply to your order email and attach your exported PDF.

What if the file is too large to email?

We recommend using WeTransfer to send your print PDF to the Membrance team.

Will you check my design before printing?

Yes. We always review your files for print quality.
If anything needs fixing, we’ll contact you before printing.

05. Printing & Delivery

How long does printing take?

Once approved, printing usually takes 1–2 working days.

How long is delivery?

Delivery is typically 1–3 working days depending on location.

Can you send the printed items directly to the funeral director?

Yes. Just provide their name and address.

What paper do you use?

Our items are printed on high-quality, smooth, uncoated or silk stock depending on your selected product.
We choose materials that feel premium and respectful.

06.Changes, Errors & Revisions

I’ve spotted a mistake—what do I do?

If we've not printed yet, simply resend an updated PDF.
If printing has begun, additional printing charges may apply.

Can I reorder prints?

Yes. Email us with your previous order number, and we’ll handle the rest.

07. Canva Troubleshooting

The Canva link isn’t working—what should I do?

Try the following:

  • Logging into Canva

  • Using an incognito window

  • Trying on a computer instead of mobile

If it still doesn’t work, contact us for a fresh link.

My text keeps shifting or moving — why?

This usually happens on mobile.
Try editing on a desktop computer instead.

I can’t export — Canva says the file is too big.

Delete any unused pages or reduce the number of photos.
Alternatively, we can export the design for you — just share the Canva link.
